So we mostly have not been in a WiFi or cell phone area. Everything is going good. We went from Drummond Island to Detour to Government bay in the Les Cheneaux Islands. We anchored a night in Government Bay and did a hike the next day on Government Island. It was a really cool cedar forest. 

 July 1 friends came up and it was so nice to see Al and Jane!  We docked at Cedarville Municipal Marina. It’s so nice!  Happy hour on the dock with sunshine!!!  Then dinner at Les Cheneaux distillery. 

The next day we took Al and Jane sailing and through the channels around the islands.  There are many beautiful homes with boat houses and wooden boats. We all enjoyed the day and a dinner at Les Cheneaux Culinary School restaurant. Stayed in Hessel Marina.  

July 3 went around Mackinac Island, along the bridge and into Mackinaw City. Walked around town and settled in. Now coffee on the dock and waiting for all the July 4 excitement ⛵️🇺🇸

    You have to stop by Duncan Bay Boat Club in cheboygan! It's the nicest marina we have ever stayed at.
    Were staying here till next weekend before we head to Cederville.
    Enjoy.. we'll be watching your journey

Another beautiful sunset  Apparently this is home to the “big hot woody”. The Mitten brewery in Northport Back out   Well not as many pictures now.  We left Charlevoix on Wednesday.  We had really enjoyed that marina!  Once out in the lake, we were moving along side the big yacht, The Scout.  Such a beauty!  It is the one shown in our last post.  Soon waves were a moderate size making for a sporty ride😀.  Safely arrived in Northport and actually had a couple hours sitting at the little beach.  That was so nice! Northport did not have any slips open for the next night, so we left and proceeded to Elk Rapids.  This is another beautiful marina.  We did go past Mission Point light but it was far off.  One surprising point I learned is that this bay has a depth of over 600 feet!  Crazy!
