Presque Isle and Alpena

 8/9/2021

Left Cheboygan and headed in to Presque Isle. Once again trying to beat rain. We did get in before the rain. Some boats here from TBYC!  Had fun and music with Steve, Linda and Rob. Tuesday we went and found the remains of the shipwreck Albany. (https://thunderbay.noaa.gov/shipwrecks/albany.html

It was cool to see. We also saw the sun and went to the beach!  We have had rain, wind, waves, fog and everything. Rob took us to dinner at Woodys on Grand Lake.

On Wednesday we headed out with an eye on the weather. A storm was predicted for evening. The waves had built and we decided to visit Alpena Municipal Marina for our first time. It is close to town with shops, a new brewery and a Mexican restaurant. We even ran into a great friend, Renee. We were protected well from the storm and slept peacefully last night.
