Lighthouses, rain and more
On 6-22-2021 we left Harrisville and went to Presque Isle where we had poor connection so will catch up now. We had some rain and it especially wants to rain when we go into the marina and Diana needs to be on deck to throw dock lines😀. The winds were light on the way to Presque Isle so it was mostly motoring. Presque Isle is beautiful so we spent two nights there. We rode our bikes 14 miles around the area on Wednesday. We also went 130 steps up the new Presque Isle Light House for gorgeous views! This light house was built in 1870 and is great to visit. The old Presque Isle Lighthouse was built in 1840. We also took the dinghy for a wavy ride around the bay to the stone beaches.
6-24-2021 we traveled between Presque Isle and Rogers City. The winds were variable from 15 to 25 knots. We were able to point StressLess to the North, set the genoa sail and just go. . . never even having to tack! A great ride! Of course when arriving into the marina it started to rain. We are getting use of the rain gear. Now settled here for a bit. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
